Stilt walkers
They are visible from the far end of the square. That is the whole case for stilts: in a crowd of a few hundred, a ground performer disappears behind the third row, while a stilt character still reads from the back, from the side, and in the photo someone takes from a balcony.

The format needs headroom and a clear path, so it does its best work outdoors and in large spaces — parades, festivals, light switch-ons, mall openings, welcomes at the entrance. That height also makes it the most photographed format we have. A Golden Trees or a White Walkers ends up on people's phones without anyone being asked to point a camera.
Almost every theme has a tall version here: Christmas with Toy Soldiers and The Gift Elves, Halloween with Jack Skellington and Ghost Angels, LED with Crown Ladies and Pheonyx Birds, plus Transformers V2, which works as a full show and not only as a walkabout character. If your venue has a low ceiling, tell us — many of these costumes also exist at ground level.
