F.Charm — La Înălțime Music Video

A silhouette that carries
the title
F.Charm was working on the La Înălțime project and needed a silhouette that says the title without words. In a music video a character gets a few seconds to land. It had to stand out literally, through height, and figuratively, through what it wore.
Fur mantle, white shirt,
drum and stilts
A stilt performer in an outfit drawn from tradition: fur mantle, white shirt and a drum. He appeared on the promenade at sunset, where the low light cuts the outline and the silhouette reads from a distance. The drum sets the rhythm of the shot, and the stilts lift it above everyone else. A symbolic figure, sitting exactly on the concept of the song.

Height is the idea of the song. The performer rises above the frame line and stays readable even in wide shots on the promenade.

The costume already existed at our workshop. Between the brief and the shoot day there was no production deadline to meet.

Out of the whole frame, the stilt performer and his costume are ours. The other extras in the clip came from elsewhere. As a direct producer, we keep the costumes in house and match the character to the concept, with no production lead time between the brief and the shoot day.
