Five hours of open space,
a family audience
An outdoor event, five hours long, for families with children. Five hours means there is no single peak moment: the audience arrives and leaves continuously, and open space swallows any small act. The whole window had to be covered, in every corner.
Five roving artists,
visible from any corner
A street entertainment programme with five roving artists, matched to the fair's theme: a unicycle juggler, Great Soap Bubbles with giant soap bubbles, stilt artists as colourful Cascade Flowers and butterflies, plus 4.5-metre giant puppets. Nothing fixed to one spot — they moved through the whole space, so every family walking in caught something.

The five artists requested came entirely from what we already had in the workshop: no new production and no extra lead time for the client.

The street programme ran across the whole window, with roving artists through the space, so anyone arriving at any hour caught something.
