Popeyes × Mardi Gras
Feathers, wings and carnival headdresses between the tables at Popeyes: four to six performers bringing New Orleans indoors.
A carnival indoors,
not one person in costume
Popeyes was bringing the spirit of New Orleans to Romania and wanted activations that genuinely looked like carnival. One person in costume by the door does not do that. A restaurant has no stage, no backstage and no room to manoeuvre: the colour has to reach between the tables, past the trays and past people who are eating.
Feathers, wings and headdresses,
between the tables
Four to six performers per edition, in Mardi Gras costumes: feathers, wide wings, tall headdresses. Some on stilts, some on the ground, plus samba dancers. The troupe moved through the restaurant, stopped at tables, danced for a minute and moved on. In Iași the activation went out in front of the Palace of Culture, so people caught the carnival from the street.

- Colorful Circles
- Cascade Flowers Stilt Walkers
-
4–6 performers per edition
A mixed cast sized for a restaurant floor: stilt walkers for height, ground performers for interaction, samba dancers for rhythm.
-
Carnival costumes, not generic
Feathers, wide wings and tall headdresses, picked for the Mardi Gras theme and Popeyes branding — not party costumes grabbed at random.
-
Booked again the second year
After the 2024 edition, Popeyes ran the format again in 2025. Same theme, different city, same team.
-
Iași, outside the Palace of Culture
One activation left the restaurant and went straight to the busiest spot in the city. The troupe worked the street, with no stage.
A mobile team,
everything from our own inventory
The costumes came from our own inventory, matched to the Mardi Gras theme and to Popeyes branding. As direct producers we bring the carnival ready to run, with costume, choreography and performers from one team. In a restaurant, where nothing can be fixed on the spot, that matters.
„Popeyes ran the format again in 2025 — four to six performers filling the restaurants with colour, and in Iași right outside the Palace of Culture."
