Street Food Festival
Six artists in animal costumes riding the yellow bike-sharing bikes in convoy through central Bucharest. In Timișoara, a different set of costumes every day.
The city had to hear
it was happening
An open-air street food festival with families and a young crowd. Animation inside the grounds reaches whoever is already there. The hard part was the weekend itself: Bucharest had ten other things happening on the same days, and the festival needed a reason for people to head towards it.
A convoy of animals
on yellow bikes
In 2019 we took six artists out of the grounds and put them on the yellow bike-sharing bikes: a tiger, a frog, a giraffe, a purple dinosaur, a bear cub. The convoy crossed central Bucharest, through Piața Victoriei, Calea Victoriei and Bulevardul Unirii, past the Palace of the Parliament, then rode back into the festival. An act that goes out after the audience instead of waiting for it.

Two editions, two different formats
In Bucharest we planned the city route and picked costumes that read from a bike. In Timișoara, in 2022, four artists changed costumes every day: colourful Giant Puppets, Silver Gheisa, Trio Butterfly, DiscoHeads. All from our own inventory, so the daily change needed no new production.
